Levi is Finland's premier ski resort and when combined with the slopes in neighbouring Yllas, it makes into a really impressive area, and being so far north, this gives the resort one of the longest ski and snowboard seasons in Europe. Also because of the low temperatures, the actually snow conditions are much more akin to North America than Europe. The slopes are all floodlit to compensate for the long hours of darkness. Great for beginners and intermediates with a FIS ski race piste to challenge the more advanced together with great rollers for snowboarders. Levi is a great destination for cross-country skiers and non-skiers with plenty of activities such as husky-sledding, reindeer sleigh-rides, snow-mobiling, ice kating, ice fishing etc.
