At the foot of Mont Blanc, Chamonix is a town with centuries' old traditions from the days of the early mountaineers looking to conquer the 'white giant'. It remains today a 'must ski' resort for intermediate and advanced skier, boarders, and ski tourers in the company of the town's renowned mountain guides. For beginners, we would recommend the neighbouring village of Les Houches.
