    Our Major Destinations in Italy

    Cervinia

    JTA's wintersport expert's comments.

Car-free Cervinia skis the same area as its Swiss neighbour Zermatt but usually at a lower price. It is a stunning area for intermediates and advanced skiers and boarded with the amazing backdrop of the Matterhorn dominating the sky line. As one of Italy's highest resorts ranging up to well over 3000ms, Cervinia's snow record is second to none.

    Cortina d'Ampezzo

    JTA's wintersport expert's comments.

The fact that Cortina is the centre for the alpine events for the forthcoming 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan says everything that you need to know about the area. A very chic town full of Italian style.

    Sauze d'Oulx

    JTA's wintersport expert's comments.

Previously renowned as a real party resort, Sauze doesn't disappoint with its nightlife, but it has also added some classy restaurants and elegant bars. Part of the Milky Way ski area, there is plenty of territory for beginners, intermediates, and advanced skiers and boarders to enjoy.

    Sestriere

    JTA's wintersport expert's comments.

A purpose-built resort with slopes and lifts leading right down to the village, Sestriere is on the other side of the mountain to Sauze d'Oulx and hosted the main alpine speed races for the 2006 Turin Winter Olympic Games, whilst Sauze hosted the slalom events. The neighbouring village of Pragelato was centre of the cross-country and biathlon events for the 2006 Games. Not really recommended for non-skiers.
